Our Year 9 students enjoyed a workshop with a buzz this week, thanks to a visit from STEM specialists Connectr.

Students learned how to think and behave like engineers during workshops that saw them work in small groups to complete tasks including making batteries from oranges.

The workshops developed skills including group work, planning to meet a design brief and identifying suitable products and strategies to solve problems.

This interactive session got our Year 9 students thinking, doing and communicating like engineers.

Well done to everyone who took part, and special thanks to Connectr and their workshop facilitator for visiting us and giving our students insight into what it means to be an engineer.
