Pupils explore careers in the NHS with interactive performance

Year 8 pupils recently explored ‘Careers in the NHS’ with an interactive performance delivered by educational theatre group, Performance in Education.

This enthusiastic and lively presentation delivered by three performers from the group, introduced students to the range of pathways that are available in the NHS at post-16 and post-18, including A levels, Apprenticeships, BTEC qualifications and the new T Levels. It also provided an opportunity for students to explore the incredible range of over 350 career options within the NHS (not just clinical roles).

Mrs Donohoe, Personal Development and Education Lead at James Calvert Spence College (JCSC) said:

“The visit from Performance Education, which forms part of our school careers education programme, is a brilliant way for our pupils to learn about future learning and career options available. The group deliver key messages in an interactive, humorous and enjoyable way which was received well from our Year 8’S. One of the main messages that it is never too early to think about possible career pathways and students are encouraged to make appropriate choices at various points over the next few years and that those choices will have an impact on their possible final career.”

Thank you to Performance in Education for visiting us and we look forward to welcoming you back in to our school in the future.
