Pupils in year 6 who staff felt have met the school’s vision and values of ‘Be Kind, Work Hard & Aim High,’ were nominated for our Friday ‘Hot Choc with the Head’ last week.
These pupils all received a positive message home to their parents to tell them all about their efforts in school and a printed certificate to celebrate their success.
Headteacher Mr Andriot met with the pupils pictured below to enjoy a chat over Hot Chocolate and Biscuits, he said:
“The ‘Hot Choc with the Head’ meetings each week are a really nice opportunity to meet with our young people for positive reasons. The conversations over a treat, have actually proved an opportunity to operate as a school council; where the children have brilliant ideas for improvements for the school and our community. The pupils also demonstrate their love for the school and have shown me how much respect they have for each other and how unbelievably supportive they are of each other.”
There were individual achievements celebrated for each student including: Moving up a set in maths and working hard to keep up with the pace; showing a great attitude to all studies; continuously aiming high when doing work; fantastic performance in drama lessons and in drama club; and always trying to push herself to the next level.
Well done to year 6 – keep up the fantastic attitude and work!
