Year 6 pupils have taken inspiration from Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Austrian visual artist and architect, for their latest school art project.
Mr Hall, Teacher, explained: “Our most recent project in art looked at the works of Hundertwasser, who was famous for his love for lines and color; he also worked in the field of environmental protection. Hundertwasser was a revolutionary for his time as he was committed to a more human architecture in harmony with nature around us. We discussed his work in class and looked at examples, then I set the pupils the task of creating their own village inspired by this.”
“I was really impressed with the work the students came up with; they took the brief and added their own ideas and creativity to make it a personal art piece. They worked together to assign project managers and planned the whole project as a team.”
The village now sits proudly as a display in the class; see photos below of some of the students with their creations.
