We have had a bake off to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. Students in Year 5, 6 and 7 brought in coronation themed cupcakes, cakes and brownies. There was even a corn beef pie to buy. Staff at South Avenue also entered the bake off.
Our judges Mrs Young and Miss Dryden took on the challenge of tasting all the cakes and choosing our winners.
Our first place winner is Ruby in Year 6, with her wonderful cake. Even the jewels were edible. Well done!
Our second place winner is Evie in Year 7, with her coronation cupcakes. Great work!
The girls won a special coronation bake off apron. Miss Davies also won the staff bake off.
All the students and staff could buy the cakes at break time. The money raised will be used to buy a special tree from The Woodland Trust to mark the coronation.
There were some incredible entries so well done to everyone who took part. Food fit for a King!
