Amble student swimming success takes her to the Nationals

Year 7 James Calvert Spence College(JCSC) student, Annie Falkous, recently attended the Swim England North East Regional Championships (NERS), achieving an incredible five medals over two weekends, including: Gold 1500 free, Silver 200 fly, Bronze 400IM, Bronze 400 free and Bronze in 100 fly.

Annie’s success has meant she has qualified for the Swim England Nationals in 400 FS and will compete on the 1st August in Sheffield.

Annie’s Mam, Rebecca commented: “We’re extremely proud of Annie’s positive attitude and fantastic achievements. She absolutely loves swimming, and her coaches are amazing. I would like to pass on our thanks to the staff at JCSC for being so accommodating of Annie’s training regime.”

Head of Lower School and SENCO, Mrs J. We understand the importance and impact extra-curricular activities have on our students and we love to hear their success stories so we can champion them in school and to our wider community.
