Our Year 7 students enjoyed a taste of higher education this week during a visit to Newcastle University as part of our careers programme.
Mr Moore and the group toured the university campus and spent time with student ambassadors, discovering what it’s like to study at university and the experiences and facilities on offer.
As part of the day, the students spent time designing their own university in smaller groups.
Everyone was really well behaved and asked lots of questions about the different courses and career pathways available.
Mr Moore said: “Our students found the visit really useful, they were very well behaved and having current students on hand to answer questions meant they gained real insight into what it’s like to study at university. Thank you to Newcastle University for inviting us and to the ambassadors for being so welcoming.”
