Our Year 9 and Year 10 students, who will be Y10 and Y11 from September, had the opportunity this week to gain an insight in to vocational options available to them for their Post-16 education. Representatives from Newcastle College and Northumberland College joined us for the day to present information about apprenticeships and courses in: Equine and Agriculture, Childcare, Business, Travel, Sports, Engineering and Animal Management.
Head of Year 11, Mrs Bailey said: “Students going in to Year 10 and Year 11 need to think seriously about their futures and the choices they make now, to set them in good stead for their Post-16 education. We are so grateful to the College and University for sharing with the students their experiences and the courses they have available. The students particularly enjoyed the interactive and practical demonstrations – as you can see from the photos we had great fun as well as learning.”
