Seven students from Year 12 who are part of the T Level Foundation qualification, have worked with Amble Town Council on a new community website for Amble (see link here: www.amblecommunityhub.co.uk.)
Teacher and Head of Vocational Studies at JCSC, Mr Gaines said: “As part of their qualification, Students have worked closely with the town council to build a website that promotes Amble and the events happening in the area. They have had regular meetings to ensure that the website reflects their needs and have produced a site to be proud of.”
The success of this venture relies on people within the community providing information; Amble Town Council are looking for input from the local community to please contact admin@amble.gov.uk.
Deputy Mayor, Ian Parks said: “We at Amble Town Council have very much enjoyed the opportunity to work with staff and students at the school and look forward to this continuing in the future. We thank all the students involved for their hard work and commitment to the project- it would not have been possible without you.”
