Members of the Lego Robotic Club headed to The Village Hotel at Silverlink earlier this week to compete in a Lego League Challenge.

Two teams made up of nine members of the club took their best robots to compete against teams from around the region.

Robots competed in rounds with points awarded for their performance in each round.

Awards made out of Lego are awarded for achievements such as Robotic Performance and Core Values.

Many months of hard work have gone into preparation for the Lego League, including the recent in-school Lego Robotics day.

Although we didn’t make it through to the next round on this occasion, the teams put in a fantastic performance during their first ever challenge.

Mr Gaines and Mr McAuley accompanied our engineers on their expedition and were exceptionally proud of their behaviour, teamwork and fantastic attitudes.

Lego Robotic Club takes place after school every Monday and is open to years 8-13.You can find out more about the club and other extracurricular activities in school, by visiting our extracurriculars web page.
