HALLOWEEN AT SOUTH AVENUE

The 31st October is no longer a training day, children will be expected to attend school that day. We have thought hard about Halloween and are aware that not all families engage in Halloween activities. Students at South Avenue have asked if they can dress up and participate in some activities on the 31st October. Children will be able to dress up on this day. Please do not buy something special for the day, it would be lovely to see children customise their own outfits.

HALF TERM HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN AND STORY COMPETITIONS

If children find themselves with spare time during the half term holidays, we’d love them to show how spooktacularly creative they can be! We’re running a spooky story competition, plus a Halloween Pumpkin design competition. To enter our story competition, write an original Halloween story, this can be any length you like – so it could be a poem, a short ghost story or something longer. To enter our pumpkin design competition, either draw, paint, collage or model a pumpkin design. You can enter your carved pumpkins too but ask that you bring in a photo of your design rather than the pumpkin itself. The deadline for entries is Monday October 31st and there will be sweet treats up for grabs. Good luck, everyone!
