We welcomed our new cohort of JCSC students in to school for our ‘Meet Your Tutor Event’.

The students and their families were welcomed in to the school with a speech from Mr Rogers, executive head and Mrs Johnson, Head of Lower School.

They then had the opportunity to meet their new form teacher for September. Ms Courtnage, Miss Davis and Mr Swift spoke with the children and answered any questions they or their families had.

The evening game the students the opportunity to have a look around our Acklington Road site, where years 5-7 will be working from in September, in preparation for the school’s new build in 2025. High school may be daunting, this gave the parents and children a chance to look around.

There was an opportunity to try some of what we have to offer at our school canteen, with mini samples of pasta, curry, paninis, sandwiches and sweet treats like brownies and cookies!

Students also got to look around our exciting library and meet our lovely librarian Mrs Johnson.

Included with their invitations were some sunflower seeds for each student to plant and watch grow, a symbol of their journey with us starting.

The tallest sunflower will win a new uniform given by JCSC. So remember to send photos to our school email address: enquiries@jcsc.co.uk.

Finally, our current Year 5 left a special message for our upcoming students, see the video below:
