James Calvert Spence College (JCSC) is a 9-19 through school, catering for students from Year 6
to Year 13, that is the heart of its community.
JCSC and the Maths department have improved considerably over the last few years, and we are
determined to secure future improvement through expansion of this core department. The position
will join our Director of Maths, whose team of specialist teachers deliver Mathematics teaching to
years 6-13.
A-levels in Maths and AS Further Maths are delivered to our sixth form students at A-level. The
outcomes for Maths 2024 were positive and we are predicted to maintain their positive projectory.
The pupils and staff are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual who wants to work as part
of a team to drive learning forward, and it is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher of
maths to develop into an outstanding leader of maths.
This is an exciting time to join JCSC as we continue our journey towards excellence and look to
build upon excellent GCSE and A-Level outcomes in 2024.
