Assistant Cook

32.5 hours per week (term time plus 4 days), permanent
Band 3: £19,698 – £20,092 pro rata

We Navigate. We Illuminate. We Shelter.

To start in September, we seek to appoint an Assistant Cook to work in our
busy school kitchen.

Under the supervision of the Catering Manager, the successful candidate
will be responsible for:

  • Preparation and service of food and beverages in accordance with standard menus.
  • Cooking meals in accordance with centrally determined menus
  • Assisting with stocktaking and daily standards monitoring
  • Assisting with the receipt and storage of goods,
  • Ensuring all food preparation and storage areas meet required hygiene standards.

  • relevant knowledge and skills
