Cover Supervisor

35 hours per week (term time plus 5 days)
Band 4
£19,554-£21,116 (Pro  Rata)
Required from September 2020 for 1 year fixed term

Working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, you will be required to supervise whole classes during the short term absence of the class teacher. The primary focus will be to maintain good order, keep pupils on task and to observe and monitor progress within the lesson. Staff involved in cover supervision will be expected to respond to pupils’ questions and generally support pupils in learning activities in line with school’s policies and procedures.

This role is ideal for those strongly considering a teaching career as well as those who wish to provide outstanding support within a classroom environment. You will have excellent communication skills, a flair for supporting effective learning and a drive to ensuring success for all young people in the school.

Learning Support Partner

U30 hours per week (term time plus 5 days)

£18,795-£19,171 (Pro  Rata)

From September, we require two Learning Support Partners to support teachers and pupils in order to raise and maintain high standards of learning in the school. Main duties include working under the direction of the teacher to support children in reaching their specific educational or behavioural targets.

Typical work activities include:

  • Supporting teaching
  • Delivering intervention programmes to small groups
  • Assisting with the preparation of the learning environment
  • Maintaining pupil records
  • Upholding the rules of the school/classroom

    and may also require you to undertake administration tasks such as photocopying, marking, maintaining displays, etc.
