We are excited to recruit an additional Cover Supervisor as soon as possible to help supervise classes during the short-term
absence of the class teacher in our friendly, welcoming and supportive school.
James Calvert Spence is a small school, ranging from Year 5 up to Year 13, where staff know the students on a personal level
and build strong relationships as students progress through the school.
As Cover Supervisor, you will work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff. Your primary focus will be to maintain good
order and encourage our students to ‘be kind, work hard and aim high’. Staff involved in cover supervision will be expected to
respond to pupils’ questions and generally support pupils in learning activities in line with school’s policies and procedures.
If you are passionate about assisting and supporting pupils and enjoy working in an inclusive and nurturing educational setting, we
want to hear from you! This role is ideal for those strongly considering a teaching career, as well as those who wish to provide outstanding

We are looking for an enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to join our team in this brand new role at James Calvert Spence College. This role is ideally suited to anyone considering a career in learning support or youth work and is an excellent opportunity for professional
growth. We are committed to providing ongoing training to help you enhance your skills, and will support you to be your very best.
The successful candidate will be:
● Flexible in duties and ready to take on additional responsibilities if needed.
● Able to walk and stand for continuous periods.
● Able to follow straightforward oral and written instructions and keep basic work records.
