The summer term has been extremely busy,  seemingly coming round in a flash and then promptly ending in style with a bang thanks to the return of the JCSC Summer Festival today. A day of fun was enjoyed by years 5-10 with Year 12 volunteers kindly helping out with festival activities.

Students started the day by getting festival ready with plenty of glitter and face paints on hand.  The year groups then moved through different zones, including sports, a creative station and a very special inflatable assault course.

Activities on offer included footgolf, football, rounders, the JCSC fun run, origami, calligraphy, chess, netball and dodgeball. Festival goers also had the option to go all out with their festival attire by adding face paints, nail art and temporary tattoos.

And, all in the name of good fun, students also had the chance to throw wet sponges at some staff and teachers.  Mr Nisbet, Head of School, said: “This time last year we had Covid restrictions in school and our festival was a muted, socially distanced affair. To celebrate having more freedoms, Mrs Moir has really pulled out all the stops to include our favourite activities from last year, along with a massive bouncy maze and slide. We were all excited to be able to bring all the children of JCSC onto one site to enjoy the final day of term.”
