Amble paid tribute to Remembrance Sunday 2023 through a moving ceremony involving the placement of poppy wreaths, coupled with a brief service conducted by Coquet Churches Together.
Dedicated students from James Calvert Spence College united to honour the brave individuals who gave their lives for us. Impressively, more than 16 JCSC Army Cadets actively participated in poppy selling and contributed to three parades on Sunday 12th November.
JCSC organised a Remembrance Art Competition. The winners, Piper and Marcus, had the honour of laying the wreath at the Amble Service.
Piper drew some lovely poppies and Marcus wrote a thoughtful poem with some pictures.
Eva and Matilda in Year 5, attended the Remembrance Service held at Widdrington Church. Eva proudly represented her Brownies troop by carrying the flag in the church and laying the poppy wreath.
We will remember them.
