Kerry joined JCSC in September 2017 as Director of English but has progressed, in 2022, to Assistant Headteacher. She is now responsible for developing the Teaching and Learning at James Calvert Spence College and the professional development of staff. Before moving to our beautiful county and joining JCSC, Kerry held a range of leadership roles at a secondary school in Shropshire, where she worked for eleven years. Her previous roles included leadership posts within the English department; she also worked as the Whole School Literacy Coordinator, Pastoral Head of Year 9, and the Newly Qualified Teacher and Initial Teacher Training tutor. Kerry is a mother to two children and enjoys spending quality time with her family. At university, she studied English and Media.
Kerry is passionate about education and its ability to empower young people to change their lives.
