We have had an incredible JCSC staff achievement at the Northumberland County Council Apprenticeship Awards 2024.
Ms Baxter, one of our amazing Pastoral Support Officers here at JCSC, was awarded HIGHLY COMMENDED from the NCC Awards for Overcoming Adversity Inspiration.
Back in 2022, Ms Baxter took a leap of faith, changing from her career in Finance to a career in Education.
For over 2 years, she has worked through an apprenticeship, achieved promotion, and undertaken extensive safeguarding training, all while working full time, raising four kids single-handedly and overcoming many challenges.
Ms Baxter says “I have a passion for change, the kindest heart to help others, and a strong focus on making a difference to our young people.”
She continues “I am rewarded daily, from supporting the painful times to sharing the joy.”
