Mrs Davison joined James Calvert Spence College in 2018 as a supply teacher, taking the offer of a permanent position as Teacher of Maths later that year. Passionate about problem solving, fostering an enjoyment of maths and ensuring every student leaves school with the mathematical skills they require to be successful in their chosen field; Mrs Davison was promoted to Director of Maths in 2024, leading the Maths curriculum from Years 6 – 13.
After achieving a degree in Accounting and Law from Newcastle University, Mrs Davison decided that she wanted to follow her passion for education and completed a PGCE to qualify is a Maths Teacher in 2008. Prior to teaching in Amble, Mrs Davison worked at a school in North Tyneside as a Maths teacher for over 9 years.
Out of school, Mrs Davison enjoys spending time with her two children, eating far too much chocolate, travelling, reading, playing killer sudoku and other number puzzles.
