A creative approach to celebrating student achievement was needed this week, with Mr McCudden hosting three virtual reward assemblies, one each for our KS2, KS3 and KS4 students.
These reward assemblies undoubtedly work best when students and staff are together in the school hall but this time round, Mr McCudden was beamed into classrooms instead.
Students were congratulated on their efforts this term, with over 200 certificates for students with excellent attendance and 15 students awarded Shining Light of the Term, as nominated by Directors, subject leads, PSOs and ELT.
Over 100 individuals qualified for entrance into the surprise prize draw thanks to the number of merits they gained across the term.
With much excitement all round, a random name selector picked out winners for the draw, with prizes including selection boxes, £5 and £10 pound vouchers and VIP Lunchtime Fast Passes.
Mr McCudden confirmed the prize generator would be back next term, saying: “The message here is that you’ve got to be in it to win it! To be in it, our students need to continue to make us proud every single day across the term. They can do this by showing a positive attitude, producing high quality work and continuing to strive to be the best version of themselves they can be, as seen in our Achievement Lighthouse.“
