School COVID-19 asymptomatic testing starts with help of community volunteers

Asymptomatic testing both in school and at community hubs at Hadston and Widdrington was made possible last week with the assistance of a number of volunteers.

Staff, volunteers and students carry out and process COVID-19 tests at spaced desks.

Final tests in school happen this today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday).

Test results should come through quickly via NHS Test and Trace and so any positive cases will be informed within 24 hours and all negative tests confirmed within seven days.

Consent for tests should be provided for these via the online consent form.

After this, we will be issuing home test kits to be administered twice a week on a Sunday and Wednesday evening and we will soon be updating you with further details of these.
