End of Term Bumper Rewards Bonanza Celebrates Standout Student Achievement

Dec 17

Between the flurry of festive activities, we took time to celebrate standout student achievement this week with the return of Mr McCudden’s bumper rewards assemblies.

Special reward assemblies took place at Acklington Road and South Avenue with some fantastic prizes given away on the spin of the prize generator.

Prizes on offer included £20 and £10 Morrisons Vouchers, selection boxes, stationary packs and the prize that money cannot buy… the VIP Lunchtime Fast Passes.

Mr McCudden subtracted the number of demerits from the number of merits for each student with the top 75 students  at South Avenue and the top 100 students at Acklington Road making it to the famous Random Name Generator. Any student in this group who had 0 demerits had their name on twice!

Mr McCudden once again took up the role of prize presenter at the awards, congratulating all those who had their name entered into the draw as well as the lucky winners.

He said: “The end of term rewards assemblies are always great fun but they also strike a serious note. I’ve said before – you’ve got to be in it to win it and for students to get their name in the draw, they have to strive to be the best version of themselves.

“This term we’ve been focussing on embedding the messages of PRIDE and RESPECT, and it’s fantastic to see so many students have aligned their behaviour to these messages and are being superb role models too.”
