Jamie joined James Calvert Spence College in 2024 as Head of Behaviour and Pastoral, bringing over 15 years of experience in secondary education across the UK and the North East. In addition to his pastoral leadership role, Jamie is also the designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. He is deeply committed to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture, where every student feels supported and empowered to thrive.

Jamie’s career began with a focus on Physical Education, having trained at Leeds Beckett University. His passion for sports led him to coach and mentor students, guiding teams to regional finals in Rugby. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions, including Head of House and Director of Key Stage 3. He has developed expertise in pastoral care, attendance, and safeguarding, working closely with students and families to ensure all pupils have the opportunity to succeed.

A strong advocate for the importance of making good choices, Jamie is dedicated to helping students navigate their educational journey while promoting personal growth and resilience.

Outside of school, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities.
